"People, especially children, aren't measured by their IQ. What's important about them is whether they're good or bad, and these children are bad." ~ Alan Bernard
"You needn't die happy when your day comes, but you must die satisfied, for you have lived your life from beginning to end and ka is always served." ~ Roland Deschain
I voted Heather. Everyone except me did an awesome job though.
"So many vows. They make you swear and swear. Defend the King, obey the King, obey your father, protect the innocent, defend the weak. But what if your father despises the King? What if the King massacres the innocent? It's too much. No matter what you do, you're forsaking one vow or another."
aurora got my vote.
"The Constitution shall never be construed....to prevent the people of the United States who are peaceable citizens from keeping their own arms" (Samuel Adams, Debates and Proceedings in the Convention of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, 86-87)
Heathah...as we say here in New England.
"It's his eyes, Roland thought. They were wide and terrible, the eyes of a dragon in human form" - Roland seeing the Crimson King for the first time.
"When the King comes and the Tower falls, sai, all such pretty things as yours will be broken. Then there will be darkness and nothing but the howl of Discordia and the cries of the can toi" - From Song of Susannah
I'm still thinking....this one is hard!

So far it was the hardest choice for me.
Roland would have understood.
Candice

bears are back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
John. Sorry, but I love the irony of the pawn shop. Its perfect. I really dig it.
oh, I loved John's, too! only I don't think it really fits the Towerpaedia, you see, that's why I voted Candice's. It seems perfect to me.

heather.
I like aurora's horn the best but I'm thinking total picture in terms of how it would look in Towerpedia.
Jean.
you're solid gold // i'll see you in hell
this was among the toughest to choose so far. great work everybody! in the end, i went with Heather's.
Heather got my vote. It was a tough choice between her's, Jean's, Rjeso's, and Candace. I think they all captured the essence of the horn beautifully. Aurora's work was excellent, but I have a soft spot for the hand-drawn stuff (which I desperately wish I had the talent to do myself ). And not to leave John out I thought his was hilarious and definitely deserves honorable mention
I'm also on the heather train, but I had to think about all weekend!
The kindness of close friends is like a warm blanket
Everyone did a great job.
I am deep in love with Heather's horn, - it is so heartbreakingly beautiful, and the quality of the drawing is superb; my only problem with it was that I couldn't see it as battlehorn; misty, romantic, fragile as it feels, I was unable to imagine it on Jericho Hill. Candice's is simple, a little naive, so for me it holds that primeval force a battlehorn must hold; I almost see it splattered with blood.

Voted Jean. Beautiful piece of work!
I went with Heather. It was hard to choose, though!

It is a tough choice, this contest rocked it. Heather does lovely work, but I liked the aged look of Jean's piece.
you're solid gold // i'll see you in hell
my second choice was Laura's, but we only get one vote...
"So many vows. They make you swear and swear. Defend the King, obey the King, obey your father, protect the innocent, defend the weak. But what if your father despises the King? What if the King massacres the innocent? It's too much. No matter what you do, you're forsaking one vow or another."
so was my second choice, yes, for the reasons I tried to explain above. It looks old, and it looks like it belongs in a battlefield.

This was hard to vote on because everyone done such great work. I finally went with aurora's. I was more drawn to it. Everyone done a great job.
It's a pity that there can only one winner as they are all great entries but I went with auroras. Not sure why but it was the one that I kept going back to the most often.
I like how you think, Letti.
And all the submissions are up in the gallery. The link is on the front page of Towerpedia! All you have to do is go there whenever you want to see them.
