    I've been away from the site here for a few years now - most knew me by sir_boomme - It's just_boomme now and just passing through.
    I just found out about Big Bill passing away, and I'm so sad. I really like Bill so much. We were great online friends here and on facebook (the little he used facebook) - talked by phone on occasions, and had a wonderful time hanging out one weekend when he came to Austin to visit for a King signing. He really was a great guy.... he was a huge man with a huge heart, and I can't believe he's gone. damn this really hurts.
    Anyway, I rejoined here so I could share some pics of Bill. (if I can remember how to do that here.)

    It breaks my heart to hear the news. He always messaged me to check in with me to make sure I was okay. He had such a good heart.

    From the very first day that I joined TDT, Bill was always incredibly supportive of me, my collection, my cruddy little drawings, all of it.

    He was an odd one in many ways, but I enjoyed our interactions. I'm very sorry to hear of his passing and will miss him on the boards. To say he had a huge impact on this forum is a gross understatement.

    Godspeed Bill, and thankee sai, for everything.

    I'm insanely late to learn about Bill's passing. He and I were at each other's throats more times than I can count. We would go for long periods of time not talking to each other. That always surprised me since we are both die-hard Yankees fans.

    While I haven't been around a lot lately, I'm happy we were on good terms recently. One time when Bill and I were arguing, I remember responding that he was nothing more than a font on a screen to me. I was wrong, Bill. You were always more than that.

    Watching the Rangers -Astros game last night I couldn't help thinking how happy Bill would have been, and how much smack he would have been talking, after the Astros lost. He REALLY hated them.
