I have the Criterion 2-disc DVD release and watched it for the first time last year. I enjoyed the movie, as well as all the behind the scenes stuff Criterion put on the discs. The movie was made by a guy who was best known for making industrial training films ("Safety in the Warehouse" type of stuff). How it all came together was very interesting to me.

Oh wow, I never knew that. I love stuff like that, I'll have to see if I can find it somewhere.

Even though Kuroneko didn't advance, watch the trailer and tell me that's not a movie worth seeing.
