If anyone who missed out on FS' The Shining would like to get one, a user named Tom6712 on Library Thing is (or was, 4 1/2 hours ago) looking to sell his copy "reasonably." I'm not sure precisely how you'd go about it, but FYI, LT doesn't allow/support open selling on their site (but I'm sure you can contact him and go from there).
[NOTE: I have no connection to this individual; I just thought someone here might benefit from the info.]
Eastasia has always taught college students to feel pride or shame according to their race.
Send me a DM, and I will happily forward it

The Folio facebook group can be insufferable sometimes. People attacking sellers for selling at the aftermarket value.
They apparently have a new selling rule where sellers can only list books 40% over the list price. So if anyone wanted to sell a copy of the signed Misery they'd be forced to list it at $300 something which obviously no one will do.
I don't like being dictated to what I can list books for because some people get upset at aftermarket prices and then the admins make rules to appease them. People need to get over it. That's the nature of the limited collecting world.
It was hell's season, and the air smelled of burning children
Then don't deal with them.

That is so ridiculously awful!!
Sweet merciful crap.

Folio sent me an unsigned copy but DHL is asking me to pay about 45e of customs before getting the delivery... which is about the same price than the book
I thought there was no customs on books?
How can I complain about it?

Check out the rules. I presume this is French customs posting the charge. Research what precisely the rules are.
I had charges on dhl from Amsterdam, and I think I was charged for security check. Basically opening and looking to see that it was a book. £20
Nobody likes a clown at midnight
I had to pay about 35euros of customs, earlier today, to recieve an unsigned copy..

Anyone get theirs yet? Wondering if FS improved their packing any since the Shining fiasco. Wonder how many slipcases will need to be replaced.
Wanted:
'Salem's Lot Portfolio #606
Fairy Tale UK S/L
I received mine last week and it was packed very well in a nice box.
Wanted: Human skin edition of The Book of the Dead. Will accept PC copy.
I cant believe people are paying 1.5k+ for this thing
The market is insane right now. Especially for new signed limited stuff.
I agree with that. I guess there is a new influx of people who are just starting combined with people that have the income to pay the prices. It makes me wonder if my collection has increased at all.
Also, I think people might feel King may be slowing down in signing so they want to get what they can now. Maybe less dedicated S\L and less tours. Just a thought.

He isn’t slowing down that’s for sure. 3 official signed limiteds announced so far this year plus the book plates he signed for duma and the stand (not official). I be a betting man we get at least two more before years out... official wise

Wow. I did not know that. I will miss out anyway but that's cool. I am trying to take a Zen approach.
P.S never mind my PM. I thought it was for something else.
2 more. I guess some part of him likes and is willing to help out publishers.
I am guessing that the Tall Grass and Later were part of 3 you mentioned?
