Two Mules!!! Solid selection and a great film. Happens as it does I just caught it the other day on one of the pay channels.

Can I second "1776"? An actual School approved and viewed film in my day. A great rendition of the story of our constitution. Racist bastards as they may have been at least they got something right. Too bad they didn't take it all they way.

If no one objects, since things have slowed down, we'll go for a waiting period of two for nominations and one for seconds.

You just seconded 1776, you need to wait (now) for one other second from someone else before seconding again. In this case, I'll second Star Trek for you. You can second now.

I kindof got lost in the discussion, but I think The Mechanic was seconded somewhere? It's still on the "waiting list" on p. 1.

I'd have seconded it myself, but, alas, that's one I haven't seen.

    So, second The Mechanic.

I'd like to nominate a brilliant film based on a Rudyard Kipling short story, and starring a superb teaming of Sean Connery and Michael Caine, with fine supporting performance by Christopher Plummer - a really epic film from one of our best directors of all time.

Film: The Man Who Would be King
    Director: John Huston
    Year: 1975

I will second Midway - I remember seeing it in the theater in what was called sensoround (this was first done with the Charlton Heston film Earthquake the time). Essentially they brought in huge speakers that were faced down on the floor at the front of the theater, which caused severe shaking of the theater seats. A pretty cool and short-lived experiment.
