Another recent favorite horror of mine. A very quiet understated film. I wish they would make more films like this instead of your typical horror fare filled with jump scares.

NOMINATION #8
Film: Yesterday
Director: Danny Boyle
Year: 2019
A nice change of pace for the director of Trainspotting, Slumdog Millionaire, and 28 Days Later. This guy really changes up genres. His love of the Beatles is clear here. A wonderful feel good family film. With one controversial scene (I, for one, loved the scene) - SPOILER ALERT!!!
Spoiler:
I'll second The Last Jedi, my favorite of the sequel trilogy.

Hearts are tough, she said, most times hearts don't break, and I'm sure that's right . . . but what about then? What about who we were then? What about hearts in Atlantis?
I know it didn't match LOTR's greatness and it was longer then it needed to be, and the trilogy got progressively less good, but I still had a good time, especially with the first one:
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012)
Peter Jackson
