    Jodorowsky is amazing but gosh you really have to be in the mood to watch one of his movies. That's not some shit you can just pop in to your dvd player on a Friday night naw'mean?

    For me it's probably because I didn't watch it when I was younger. I only watched it for the first time a few years ago, and couldn't believe how cheesy it was. I wasn't expecting that. Had I seen it first when I was a kid maybe I'd feel definitely. I don't know?

    I had seen it countless times and liked it as a kid. I had the same reaction you did when I tried watching it as an adult. It's a proto Hollywood blockbuster that's both fun and dumb at its core. I like dumb movies but at least they're dumb on purpose.

    Yeah, it honestly took me off guard. Maybe it's because it's a well loved film, and everyone talks about how great it is. So when I saw it I wasn't expecting it to be so ridiculous. And normally I love a good cheesy film
