I agree. It was a lot of fun and definitely a page-turner. Plot-wise, I think I enjoyed it more than Bird Box. I did think the ending was rushed, though, and some of the writing felt kind of lazy to me.

I listened to the audiobook, and while I enjoyed the production aspect of the audio version, the story was a bit boring to me. I agree with your spoiler though.

And I absolutely loved Rosemary's Baby, it was so good! We re-watched the movie last night and I was pleasantly surprised at how well it followed the book. Aside from Stepford Wives, have you read any of his other books?

Yeah, I thought it was a little boring as well. I didn't really have a connection to any of the characters.

Glad you enjoyed Rosemary's Baby! We must've been on the same wavelength because I re-watched it last night also. I was also pleasantly surprised at how closely it followed the book, right down to a lot of the dialogue. I first saw the movie maybe 10 years ago, but I didn't really remember any of it aside from the ending, so it was nice to re-visit it with the book in mind. And I loved Ruth Gordon's performance as Minnie.

And no, I haven't read anything else by him besides those two. I do want to read Son of Rosemary, even though my expectations aren't very high and the reviews aren't great.

Oh, and I keep meaning to tell you I finished The Carrow Haunt. I enjoyed it and the pacing, but I didn't really care about any of the characters or find it too scary or creepy.

Glad you enjoyed it. I don't really find any of her books scary. Folcroft Ghosts and Haunting of Ashburn House were a litte creepy to me though. Do you think you'll read any others by her? What I love about them is they're fast paced quick reads. Nothing deep but fun entertaining reads.

Yeah, they all kind of seem that way to me. I don't know if I'll read any more of hers. Maybe, like you said, if I'm in the mood for something quick and "easy" to read. And holy crap, she's got so many "The Haunting of..." books!

I'm reading The Troop now after hearing so many good things about it on here. About 50 pages in.

How was Wormwood? Did you get it in the Nightworms package? I should have ordered it, because I haven't been able to find the book available anywhere else yet. Hopefully they'll release it in the future.

Great news! Last time I searched I couldn't find anything. So glad they're going to release it. I was kicking myself for not getting the box. Chad Lutzke is quickly becoming one of my favorites.
