Blue World was the collection.
You can read several Robert McCammon stories for free on his website, RobertMcCammon.com, which I run.

Welcome to TDT.com, goathunter.
I know I'll be checking out that website for his stories. Thank you.
Today something odd happened to me. I found a S/L edition of Tim Powers "Night moves" in a used bookstore in Buenos Aires for.... 6.50 dls. You don't usually find books at that price and less S/L editions in Argentina.

Good deal Ari, I like Tim Powers!

Received a postcard announcing a signing by Elizibeth Kostova, 1/12/2010 at The Captain's Bookshelf-Asheville, North Carolina,
She's reading from and signing her new novel 'The Swan Thieves'
Trade copies $35. S/LSpecial edition, 180 signed copies, bound in garnet cloth, lettered in silver with Monet reproduction and slipcase adorned with photographs by Jamie Blankenship and Ralph Gibson for $200. Available at this pre-publication price until the end of the event.
My pleasure. I have a S/L of The Historian (Historio Graphus). Debating the $200 for the next one.
Would even consider selling the S/L to the right person.

I recently read The Historian and found it really hard going to begin with but perseverence paid dividends, a great book. Also Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell by Susanna Clarke is brilliant once you become attuned to the 18th century language. I tracked down S/L of both books, lovely editions.
An author I have been following/collecting for nearly as long as King is the Scottish author Iain Banks, for those who don't know about Banks he writes his mainstream books under Iain Banks but he also writes sci-fi under Iain M. Banks. His books are very varied in subject matter and for anyone who is interested I recommend his first book The Wasp Factory, it will blow you away and for a humorous tale Dead Air is great.
Cheers.
i've got a really addictive personailty so when I do find an author that I like i tend to get *really* into them!!! So I've ended up getting quite good collections from the following authors
*Jay Quinn - I am in love with this guy!! I've got all his novels so far (admittedly it's only 4) but hes a gay writer who loves to focus on family and family bonds. Almost always makes me cry when I read him
*Armistead Maupin - Tales of the city series!
*J.K Rowling - simply put - the Harry Potters
*Richard Laymon - i like his simple approach to horror
*Gregory MacGuire - So far i've only got the Wicked Trilogy BUT i've become a HUGE fan of ebay so will hopefully be getting a few more of his books for me n the hubby
That's all so far

The book is a Bloomsbury Limited Edition of 1450 copies. The prices vary wildly so it's a matter of right place right time. Good luck. Cheers.Cool, I never knew there was a S/L of this book, I've always just had a signed first edition, one of these days when I can afford it I'll have to pick one up!
For Dan Simmons fans here are two lettered editions that just arrived yesterday. There was some delay in getting these (not a Cemetery Dance delay of years and years). More like several months. Traycase problems or something like that. Still, these are absolutely worth the wait.
I was fortunate to get matching letter "A" on these. Not sure if that was a coincidence or not.

Those are beautiful, Bob.
I've only read a few of his early books and a short story collection of his. I've just recently started Drood and am about a third of the way through it. I liked what he did that I'd alreadt read, but this is just phenomenal.
Wow. Nothing in Northern California.
