I know I paid more than $975 for my copy.
This S/L THE TALISMAN sure seems priced reasonably. I'm tempted but I don't need another copy.

Not an auction but an ABE listing. If you are looking for a copy or an upgrade I don't think you will beat this price for DT III.

RE DTIII
I know this place! I've been there many times and they are honest!!
What was the price on it? It's gone now, so I was wondering for reference.
I think it was $35

Bob -
Do you have a set like this?
http://cgi.ebay.ca/Stephen-King-Dans...3A1|240%3A1318
THIS NOT A SET OF BOOKS... iT IS ONE BOOK AND THREE OTHER Prototype covers. It was explained to me, that these were a series of options for the final cover for the Limited Edition. This book is signed but without a letter or number and I believe from what I know is not necesarily the "Lettered" and in fact if remember correctly I believe it reads on signature page like a numbered edition. I was tempted to buy when in the area, however money time and the knowledge needed were not in hand at visit and I did not make it back.

Those have been around for quite a while, Ves! I don't have a set, but believe it or not I know quite a few collectors who do.

I've bid on something from this seller for a Christmas gift for someone. I'll post here to let you guys know if they are worth dealing with.

No, I don't. I suspect it is a unique set. As EXPLORER mentioned in an earlier post, I think the seller (whom I have dealt with before and is entirely legit) is being disingenuous when he refers to the book as an unlettered "lettered" edition. There is really no difference between the numbered and lettered states of this book except for what is written in the blank spot on the limitation page. It is just as likely an unnumbered numbered edition.
