For $629, you'd think they'd have the decency to at least throw in free shipping.

The seller accepted a best offer of OVER $500 on this one. I can't get past about $400 based on what I have seen individual editions go for, and even that's been mightly generous. Seller really lucked out on that one.

A member just told me that the $15,000 asking price could be inflated as much as a factor of 10x.

Ari, that's the same link that Wiz provided above. There are two offers, I wonder if it will sell, and if one of our members will be the buyer.

His asking price is not realistic. For that kind of money I would expect to get a much more significant Wrightson work.....like a two page spread from FRANKENSTEIN. To me the piece at auction is worth $2.5K to $3K max (maybe less).

Anyone care to comment on this auction. I'd have to check my own copy, but does this one have 2 original sketches by the artist? one? or none?

I've been looking at those also and thinking I might buy one. A few years ago I bought a similar traycase from tbcl for Ayn Rand's ATLAS SHRUGGED. I like it a lot. It is a quality item and I suspect the traycases for CARRIE and NIGHT SHIFT are of equal quality.

I think only one of them (the 2nd one) is an original drawing. The first one, I believe, is actually in all of the Miller Ltds because I believe I've seen it in others. Here's another one from the same seller http://cgi.ebay.com/Stephen-King-The...d=p3286.c0.m14 I could be wrong, though - the pics in the body of this one are the same even though the one that displays with the auction is different . . .

I can probably help with this.

Both pictures in that auction are original pen drawings by Edward Miller placed directly in each book. He's showing two different books. Ed Miller (Pseudonym name for Les Edwards) was commissioned to do 10 original drawings, one in each book.

I own 3 of the 10 Here's one (see picture) Les sent me a scan of 8 of the 10.

Actually they had 3 auctions going with 3 different original drawings, apparently the 1st one sold and now they have the 2 drawings shown, if you check their other auctions you will find the book with the 2nd original shown.

I'll put 3 per post. Not sure of the limitations on attachments.

Also, please keep in mind, I'm posting these pictures for everyone to see. This doesn't mean that Steve, a friend of mine in the UK and a very close friend of Les Edwards has any left for sale. I have 3 of the 10 in my collection. A couple more sold on Ebay already and another DT member bought one.

Not sure what he has left for sale, it's very cool to see all the pen drawings though.

    Here we go:
