I might be interested, hmm wonder if he ships to UK, i'll ask.

Am I right in thinking that The Bear doesn't appear in any of King's own collection?, because if it's a story I don't have then it's easier to justify the $$.

It is not a stand alone story. It is an excerpt from one of the DT books (DT 3, I think).

The Bear story in this is significantly different from the one in the Waste Lands. This magazine also has the first printing of "The Moving Finger".

It also has a Stephen King Biography by Marsha De Filippo (The Mod at SKMB).

    Lots for your dosh!

nope, I can't be buying S/L's even cheap ones!, it's a slippery slope!!!. Must resist.

But if anyone spots any deals on nice condition Dark Tower books, specifically Gunslinger 3rd printing (on it's own or in that set), or Wastelands/Wizard & Glass latter printing i'll be right on in. Bit embarrassing to be on here with all the super-collectors and only have pb copies of the DT books

I just ordered Wolves of the Calla hb from Amazon for $13.65, so thats 3 of the 7 i've got now. Quite surprised to find Amazon themselves to still be selling it 6years after release, it looks like a latter printing of the trade, not a reissue?.

Thanks for posting these Herbert. I feel some are over priced, but still very cool items. Seeing the lettered Signatures book reminded me that I have a numbered edition... somewhere! ha!

The Gerald's Game "Limited" is the ABA hardcover proof with the cardboard slipcase. There were actually about 2000 of these distributed. The above auction is overpriced.

you dont have a camera right?
otherwise, you could have taken pictures of the illustrations in the dolores and gerald's proofs...

when do you invest in a camera?

Should we create a giveaway thread for giving a camera to john? :p

He'd rather buy books than cameras - and if you ask me, I like that mentality!

    You got that right!

(Actually, I have a condition known as benign essential tremor, which means I shake pretty badly. I can't hold a camera steady. That's why all the pictures that I post--other than the ones I "borrow" from eBay and other sources--are done on my scanner.)

    Here's another for the list.
    Insomnia ARC

I wouldn't call the writing on the cover minor and don't think it's worth the asking price, but I also haven't seen this one on ebay often.

Here's one I remember being on ebay once before. The seller was different and the price was a LOT less than this new seller wants. Check out the inscription and you'll understand why I like it so much.

I need 85 and 86 and half of 87 to complete my Castle Rock collection but $120 feels like more than I want to pay for those.
