I recall that proof. Helped David get it signed at the George Mason event (if my addled mind recalls correctly).
David never got his signed. He has taken it to many events but no luck

Must be another proof. My wife definitely took one through the line at the GM event.

Confirmed with wizardsrainbow, that is an orange Plume Gunslinger proof. Just like the one on ebay, and of course signed at the GM event.

Ii think this is over priced 15k for UK Sphere maybe, but the Plume not close but hey maybe someone will pay it, definitely thousands but 15 of them I don't see, curious where David would put this at value wise

I am siding with Matt on this. $16,500 is a stretch.
I purchased the one copy that David auctioned off some while ago. It is common knowledge, as the figures were published, that I paid a few Dollars over $13,000. However David stated that three other people were above $11,000 (I believe) so it may well be that one of these people may step up.
The UK Sphere, which I have, would fetch $15,000, as two people have offered me considerably more than that.
Times have altered though, so you have to factor in the economic shift.
Then again who can ever tell with collectors!!

That's pretty rough. It's worth perhaps half of the starting price.

You could be right. I just looked at the recent eBay sales, and this edition is bringing quite a bit more than I thought it did. $75 might be about right for this condition.

This has been for sale at this price for years.....and thus......overpriced in my opinion.

The seller (a member here) and I bought our copies at the same time (2015)....he got Part One.....I got the matching Part Two. There was no part three offered....which has left me wondering if Mr. Vickers died in 1984 or 1985 (there are health issues mentioned in my copy).

Agreed been on sale a long time. Has a stain on the back if I remember correctly and the number correction and incomplete set makes me doubt it will sell for asking. I would probably auction that one and see how it does with a reserve.

Why does that matter? I sincerely am
Curious. Does one really believe a low number should garner more? Maybe #1 but I cannot imagine that this being #73 would fetch it anymore $. Just my 2 cents but I’ll never understand why collectors say that.

Great question, actually. I'm not sure - it was just a knee-jerk reaction, I think!??!?
