Even though the pictures aren't the greatest, it looks like the real deal. This seller also just sold a presentation copy of the signed limited Tom Gordon pop up book. If the Salem's Lot wasn't bought for a collection, it'll be interesting to see if it pops up again either on eBay or AbeBooks with the buyer listing it, even with the sun damaged tray case, for $10,000-$15,000+. And the way the SK market is nowadays, they'll probably get it. I just don't understand the original sellers thinking. Why not go for maximum profit?

A fine red number is a $30k book. I agree this is a $18-20ish. Also that case can be fixed from the damage pretty easy.

Wow! That's insane. My mind is blown by how much the book is actually worth. I have no skin in the game. I'm a low level/tier SK collector, if there is such a thing. As insane a deal this ended up being, I still couldn't afford the $3500 buy it now anyway. But, I still want to bang my head against the wall and reach through the computer and shake the seller of this book and ask, what the hell were you thinking!? I don't know why it bothers me so. Rant over.

After looking at the "art prints" and cover, I searched the listing for "this is not the actual design" etc. They're really going with that? I can't see why anyone would want it.
