FYI, called the bookstore. No more signed King, but they still have signed Hill.

How cool is that!?!
Glad you were there to catch it - and wish I had been too.
reality continues to ruin my life
What a fantastic turn of events. I would love to have had that opportunity, congratulations and thanks for sharing your pictures!
FYI. Prairie Lights in Iowa City has signed copies of NOS4A2 a few are doodled with the vampire. They also have signed copies of Locke and Key and later printings for 2oth century ghost and horns.
Thanks. I have doodled Ghost and Horns so I wanted a NOS4A2 also!!
Do you know if Prairie Lights has 1st printings?
Wanted: Human skin edition of The Book of the Dead. Will accept PC copy.
yes they were all first printings. i was the last to leave that night and they brought in a big box of NOs4a2 for Joe to sign. the next day i went to the store and they had them on display all over the store. If you get the right clerk who is willing to look for you, they should be able to find one.
He signed sevaral the way your brother got yours, he flatsigned some and he did a variety of different things with them.
Thanks. I will try them. I gave my brother explicit directions... I also didn't want it personalized. Haha!

I gave into peer pressure. I changed my call schedule and will now have Wednesday off - so I will head to the city and meet a whole new bunch of people - cannot wait. I am also going to Petaluma the next day (never know if SK is taking a trip out west with his son...) since I have never been to Petaluma. At least I can split up the books and bring half each night.
Woo Hoo! At least 6 people I know are scheduled to be there!
Can anyone verify if Joe Hill will be in Portland Oregon this Friday the 17th?

p.s. How does it work at the book signing? I've never been to one. I just bring some of my Joe Hill books that I want signed and wait until after he is done doing his reading and then wait in a line and he will sign them? Or just 1?
Do I need to sign up first somewhere for the "signing" line?
I don't want to goof up!!!
You should not need to sign up.
Show up for the event, enjoy the reading and Q&A, then get in line to get stuff signed. If you want NOS4A2 signed, it is polite to buy a copy from the host bookstore.
If there are a lot of people in line, there usually is a limit (~3) he will sign before the person has to go back and wait in line again.
I had the pleasure of meeting Joe the day after NOS4A2 was released in Huntington, NY. He & his brother Owen read excerpts from their respective novels and then did a hilarious Q & A. Joe was very generous and signed NOS and a one-shot Locke & Key comic (lots of people on line had the 4 L&K trade hardcovers). He also was cool about taking pictures. I'm sure every book store is different but overall, Joe will likely sign anything you want. I'm about 85% through NOS and it is EXCELLENT.
