I would love it if they brought it back for another season.

Shudder announced today that the complete interviews Roth conducted for Eli Roth’s History of Horror will be released as part of Eli Roth’s History of Horror: Uncut, a new podcast that’ll serve as a companion to the series.

Over the course of twelve episodes, Eli Roth’s History of Horror: Uncut will offer listeners hours of never-before-heard, candid conversations between Roth and Stephen King, Edgar Wright, Quentin Tarantino, Diablo Cody, Bryan Fuller, Catherine Hardwicke, Victor LaValle, Tippi Hedren, Bruce Campbell, Josh Hartnett, Greg Nicotero and Rob Zombie.

All episodes of the podcast will be made available on Shudder on Friday, February 22, exclusively for its members. Episode 1, featuring Roth’s complete conversation with Stephen King, will be made available the same day to non-members on Apple Podcasts and other platforms, where subsequent episodes will be released twice-weekly on Mondays and Fridays.

The podcast has been taken off. I got a press release from AMC being quite opened about what happened : the podcast has been released prematurely as the Eli Roth wasnt consulted for the podcast. Hey are now involving him and they hope to bring the podcast back with his creative input.

No wonder that he wasnt happy if he wasnt involved (nor paid), given that this is his interviews and his name is being used with it

I really hope they release it, I didn't get a chance to listen to it yet. Really baffling that they didn't consult Roth first though.

Wow I feel so special for having gotten to listen to it now. AMC seems to have a pattern of not respecting their creative partners - hopefully that stops now

The interview was fun and worth a listen, but nothing groundbreaking and really just the same anecdotes the King tends to rely upon. Most of it was about horror films and directors from the 50s-70s. You can tell Eli is a huge King fan and that dynamic was really my fave part. And they both love George Romero

And we learned a bit more about the phone story that King tweeted about over the summer.
It seems that it's a story of someone buried with a phone...

Skimmed through the creatures episode... kind of annoying they just focused on the It remake and barely referenced the Tim Curry version. Almost came off like an advertisement for the film.

Since AMC puts most their shows on disc, I'm hoping to pick this one up when that happens. Would be cool if they included extended interviews in the bonus features.
