I'm still waiting for the adaptation of The Long Walk. I'm pretty sure thats been talked about for 20+ years now...
Hearts are tough, she said, most times hearts don't break, and I'm sure that's right . . . but what about then? What about who we were then? What about hearts in Atlantis?

Very interesting and encouraging. I would think that the source material is in very good hands with all those folks involved. Certainly, Speilberg giving the blessing and being involved lays a solid groundwork for the, Duffer brothers to work with, no?

To me this is very good news.............................................. ...........once again!! lol

Well, if you can believe it, weíre really into Stephen King, and this was the ultimate. Our friend Curtis Gwinn, one of the main writers on Stranger Things actually asked if weíd be interested in getting involved. There was a show that he was talking with Amblin about. We were immediately excited. We loved The Talisman. It may be the last great í80s Stephen King book that has not been previously adapted, and thatís only because Amblin and Spielberg have held onto it for as long as they have.

They own the rights, and they havenít allowed any version to get made up to hopefully now. Itís a huge book, itís really long and I donít think it would ever have really worked effectively as a movie. Until recently, I donít think it would have worked as television. Itís like weíre in this new era now where thereís a kind of a merging of television shows that feel and look like movies because theyíre getting these pretty big budgets behind them.

So, something like Talisman that even five years ago was not doable, is very doable now. It involves a lot of things that are very similar to Stranger Things. Itís about a kid whoís trying to save his dying mother and he travels into another dimension in order to do so. I mean, itís much more fantasy. It has sci-fi. It has horror elements. It has a lot of heart. It has everything that we love. And itís got the best werewolf character I think, ever.

Since this has most likely been in the works between the Duffers and Netflix for months/years, that was a cheeky little Talisman Easter egg during the finale
    Let's get a little crazy.

    What was it?
"Woof woof," I said, which loosely translates to "where's my Alpo?"

I was the last to know (as with Harry and Parseltongue).

The context is pretty spoilerific but it's here.

Yes; I thought "easter egg" might have implied a less overt reference etc.
