My dream of owning every Suntup Edition has pretty much been destroyed by this newsletter. I can swing a book a month, but if we're starting to get two per month... I knew it was only a matter of time, haha!

But I'll stay on for as long as I can!

Maybe January will be Stephen King so that I can save myself some money (as I am not on that numbered track).

Ok - I'm pretty sure that Dec is Heinlein - probably 'Stranger in a Strange Land' and 'Starship Troopers'. Published within two years of each other and the phrase 'was among the first to emphasize scientific accuracy in science-fiction' is verbatim off Heinlein's wikipedia page.

As you can see it’s the remake tie-in edition with the bowdlerized American title but the book is still the same.

I've never read Heinlein. The closest I've come is listening to Iron Maiden.

This is in no way confirmation of anything regarding the books being published, but if you haven't read Heinlein, you have missed out on an amazing Science Fiction author. I was a voracious sci-fi reader in my youth and moved quickly from the children's section to the Adult Sci-fi by the age of about 11 or 12. I read I Will Fear No Evil around this time (published a little later than Stranger In A Strange Land) and if you have read it, you'll know thats quite an early age for the content and concepts of this book! It has stuck with me as one of my all time favourite Sci-fi novels ever though.

You can not go wrong with The Big 3: Heinlein, Asimov, Clarke. Do you own CP's childhood's end? Its a wonderful read

I concur with Simon’s recommendation of Heinlein. For me, it was the short story collection “the menace from earth”, which got me started on him. A great collection in itself, and the short story, “by his bootstraps” is a classic.

Not a lettered, a numbered. Pretty sure that one for 6k sold (3 weeks ago or so). Looks like they have another copy on consignment.
