Received my ROAD broadside gift yesterday...what a beautiful piece, what a thoughtful gesture on Paul’s part.

I’m re-reading The Road with my Suntup edition. And you haven’t experienced The Road until you’ve read it as a Suntup book. The ashen pages. The cloth cover. The stark illustrations. Brilliant presentation, Paul. A true treasure.

I’m still waiting for my broadside. I can’t wait.

"A real limited edition, far from being an expensive autograph stapled to a novel, is a treasure. And like all treasures do, it transforms the responsible owner into a caretaker, and being a caretaker of something as fragile and easily destroyed as ideas and images is not a bad thing but a good one...and so is the re-evaluation of what books are and what they do that necessarily follows." - Stephen King
Yeah, that album was one of the first albums I bought. Was always captivated by the art while listening to the music.

Paul, received Bridges today (held up in customs). Love the cloth! Especially when sunlight touches it! I was curious as to what the watermarks represent. I do not recognize them right off the bat. Is that the Hahnemule watermark? Very cool touch.

Great pictures! Yes, that is the Hahnemühle watermark, and the sign of a truly fine paper. The paper used in this edition is Biblio, and it will also appear in the Lettered edition of I Am Legend. Here's a quick history lesson:
The Hahnemühle paper mill was founded in 1584 to supply paper to the administrative offices of the Duke of Brunswick. In 1886 the original mill was named after one of its owners, Carl Hahne; his last name is also the German word for "cockerel," which became the company's watermark.
Those two pics look great. Great job team Suntup.

The absence of water? The absence of anything else we're addicted to.
