Replay may be one of them.

I am more excited by that book than blood meridian and thomas harris put together.

Time travel, but not really science fiction, more philosophical than anything. Not quite in any genre.

One you want to read time and time again.

Also, ive nagged Paul about it for about 18months, so taking his clue as confirmation.

If nagging helps I should start nagging Paul about By Reason of Insanity by Shane Stevens. It appears that I loaned out my reading copy and the book is out of print. I NEED a new copy!

I’m not sure, I am only on tab 200 of this thread, but it’s in here, I am sure.

I definitely seen a comment saying worthy of a limited. It has been acknowledged.

All i need to know is when its released and i am happy chappy.
    Yes! I loved Replay!
One of my all-time favorite novels. As spectacular and special a limited of SOMEWHERE IN TIME would be, a limited of Ken Grimwood’s REPLAY would be a singularly phenomenal event for me. I’ve always been puzzled why a limited (other than the recent Easton Press HC) has never been done...perhaps it’s a rights issue with his estate. If so, what a shame.
REPLAY would be a great choice!
    I agree.

It’s been 13 months since Paul’s commitment. Is April finally time for the official announcement? If so, will it include the self-selected artist? Two more weeks to find out.

Any requests if we did another Matheson book?
SOMEWHERE IN TIME would be my suggestion. As far as I know, the only limited was the Dream/Press edition that was in combination with WHAT DREAMS MAY COME. A seminal (and very popular...there used to be (still is?) a convention based solely around the book) novel of time-travel romance, it deserves its own standalone deluxe edition.
I would love a limited of Bid Time Return (Somewhere In Time). The hotel the story is set in holds an annual Somewhere In Time Weekend. Currently scheduled for October but that could change. https://www.mackinacisland.org/speci...ime-weekend-2/
You mean the movie that caused 14-year old me to fall in love with Jane Seymour was based on a book by Richard Matheson? How did I never know this?

You'll be telling me next that that the nasty horror writer Stephen King wrote that uplifting Shawshank Redemption story...

I thought the first June book would be REPLAY, or maybe even THE TIME TRAVELER’S WIFE, but now I lean toward BID TIME RETURN/SOMEWHERE IN TIME. Even the lead time of these comments works out for an announcement at this time. The potential strike against it, as raised upthread, is Paul’s statement in the official announcement that he tried for years to get rights for this. So maybe the Matheson book shows up a little later.

It’s a great book! I’m going to read Bid Time Return as it’s the only one of the three above that I haven’t already read - either of which I’d be happy with as a Suntup release.

Ok, I don't have facebook so never watch Paul's facebook presentations. Did I miss something that makes everyone think the June book is about time travel? I don't see anything in the email to suggest that.

The speculation on the June announcement came from Paul's Monday email rather than the Facebook video. Also, I do not do Facebook but am able watch the videos. Just Google 'Suntup Facebook' and decline to log in or create an account. It will still let you watch the video. you can't comment so you are unable to participate in the giveaways though.

Well, good to hear. So yes, we will do this book. It's a ways off, but will start the process. A funny coincidence happened today. I was about to hire an artist for an upcoming book, and before we got the contract started, he emails to say that he feels he might be better suited for a book like The Island of Doctor Moreau! Whether that ends up happening or not, I thought it was surely a sign.
It’s been 13 months since Paul’s commitment. Is April finally time for the official announcement? If so, will it include the self-selected artist? Two more weeks to find out.
I kind of hope that Dr. Moreau will have the same artist as the other wells books
Florian Bertmer did a great job so I’d be happy with that choice. I’d be fine with another artist as well. Mostly I just want the exterior design to fit with the other three as a unified set, regardless of when it gets announced.

Gah... Well I'm afraid you may be disappointed then Patrick! The Moreau book was never intended to be part of the three-book Wells set, so it will not have the same overall design. This one came about long after and for me it's a "stand-alone" volume in terms of design, both interior and exterior. We had more flexibility that way.

    It's an Island unto itself.

    Like Gilligan!
I'm sure if there is intelligent life somewhere out there in the universe, they are wise enough to stay away from us.

It’s a great book! I’m going to read Bid Time Return as it’s the only one of the three above that I haven’t already read - either of which I’d be happy with as a Suntup release.
Bid Time Return is a fantastic read. The movie Somewhere In Time is relatively true to the book but the book is much better.
