After I finally stopped drooling over my numbered Misery (from a distance) and all the goodies within, I had to pull out my DR IT box and look under the foam padding in it...just in case....
I can't be the only one?
Too funny!! To be honest I'm grateful for all of the pictures and videos of people opening their limited editions. I honestly had no idea there were more goodies under the first foam insert. I had put the box away and pulled it back out two days later to find those surprises!

Makes total sense. And taking your time to enjoy the experience is the best way to go about it. It seems that Paul packs with that experience in mind. For me it will go one of two ways. Either I will:
Seize on the package like Cujo tearing into Gary Pervier or
Sit there and stare at it because I am not worthy of what's inside and I will only devalue the book by getting my stench on it
Undoubtedly I will follow a third route: Do a silly unboxing video that inspires comments such as "SHUT UP AND SHOW THE MOTHERLOVIN' BOOK!"
Mine should arrive in Bonny Scotland tomorrow.
I can't stop taking pictures of this thing. Must.... stop..... opennnnnninggggg!!!!!!!

"A real limited edition, far from being an expensive autograph stapled to a novel, is a treasure. And like all treasures do, it transforms the responsible owner into a caretaker, and being a caretaker of something as fragile and easily destroyed as ideas and images is not a bad thing but a good one...and so is the re-evaluation of what books are and what they do that necessarily follows." - Stephen King
It's just so good! My wife has always thought my book obsession was strange. But when she watched me open this, saw my reaction, and saw the production quality, she was legitimately impressed by a book for the first time. She didn't balk when I said that there would be many more Suntup editions to come in our future!
Received my copy yesterday. Beautiful. I don't own any King Lettered editions, but this is heads and shoulders above any other S/L (King or otherwise) I have.
I am curious, though - I've seen people post about extras. Maybe I'm missing something or those were only for the Lettered edition, but what should I be looking for? Feel free to PM me if you don't want to spoil it for others.
Sent you a PM.

Again Jack, the book looks awesome. Congrats on having one.
COUPLA QUESTIONS:
Will Misery Gift edition buyers have a number?
Will Misery Gift edition buyers have a pre-order window that opens before the one for the general public on the next King gift edition?
I bought the Misery GE, but I didn't get any advanced notice on Hill House. I was able to score a numbered HH, so I'm thrilled to be safe in the non-King track. So I'm just trying to figure out where I stand in the King or GE track.
Hey Jeff. GE’s aren’t numbered. And should there be a future King book, there will not be a private pre order for GE owners. With the larger print run that isn’t really an issue. Thanks for asking.
Thanks Paul.
Yeah I figured having a number is what makes the NUMBERED edition a NUMBERED edition! Hahahaha. Just thought I'd ask because questions are free.
I was mostly curious about advance notice on the next King book. For example, like MAYBE you would stagger the ordering process thusly:
1. open a pre-order window for Letter and Number holders
2. after 2 days or a week or whatever, open a window for previous GE customers who can buy any available editions
3. after 2 days, open a window for the general public/new Suntuppers
I understand this is more work. And you already do PLENTY. But that's what private Jeff was fantasizing about in my private brain. Now it's here.
I am just happy to have one book. And in line for other non-King books. We don't even know if Paul will get another one. He might but I am happy with getting in at least one of the lines.
