Have you watched season 4 Part 1?
I have. Nice one. Eagerly waiting for the part 2
I am hugely fond of fantasy series and fiction. I always prefer these genres over thrillers and action. The long sitting hours in my job as a programmer in the ai services and machine learning sector generate boredom every now and then. That is when I found the stranger thing as my escape route to entertainment. I am eagerly waiting for the last part, expecting a spin-off at the end for another season.
Apart from this show, outside of my usual category, I have watched sex-education. It was my friend who suggested it. Foudn it really interesting.
Boo yeah!
Part1 is surreal. Eagerly waiting for part 2

The Houston Astros cheated Major League Baseball from 2017-18!!!! Is that how we teach our kids to play the game now?????
I saw a YT video about the Kate Bush song that has suddenly gained a resurgence thanks to this show.
It's interesting that the way it's being used in the show and the way a lot of people are interpreting it is that the lines "I'd make a deal with God, And I'd get him to swap our places" is a suggestion that they'd trade places with someone that has died. In this case, it's obviously Max's brother billy.
But in the video Kate said that she wrote it as a man and a women in a relationship together "switching places" so that they could understand each other better.
Hearts are tough, she said, most times hearts don't break, and I'm sure that's right . . . but what about then? What about who we were then? What about hearts in Atlantis?
A certain actor on this season would listen to this version while getting into character.
Love that one and love Kate's too. There's other good covers.
This is a pretty decent history of the song. To hit number 1 again is amazing. I also read somewhere that Kate owns that song 100 percent so right now, she's making like 250K a week from downloads. Crazy! I love it.
slight spoiler
I've listened to a few versions of this song over the years, and much prefer Kate's original version to everything else. The synth places it firmly in the mid-80s, which does date it a bit, but the composition and vocals make it eternally original. I couldn't be happier that it's being rediscovered.
The Placebo version is ... fine, I guess. A bit too much 2000's emo angst for my liking, and what interest it holds for me originates with the original composition, not the performance.
I'm liking ST4; looking forward to when part 2 drops.

My favorite is Kate's. Hers is best. Love the Placebo one too.
How many have watched the whole season thus far? I've been though it twice now. Binged it when it came out alone and again with the bf. I noticed more on the second watch, of course but I think this has been pretty good season so far. Better than 3 and 2 probably. It's crazy the last season is going to be years away.
I've watched it through once, taking my time with it, finishing episode 7 a few nights ago. I think it is stronger than seasons 2 and 3. I was only somewhat interested in watching it, to be honest, and it does take a couple of episodes to really get going, but I'm well and truly hooked. I love the longer episode format, too - some almost movie-length. They really keep you engaged.

I am only three episodes in, and I am loving it. I quite agree that the longer episodes are a real treat.
I also have to say that Eddie is my new favorite character in the show. I absolutely had friends just like him in high school and he would've fit in perfectly in our group.

Watched all of S4 so far, anxiously awaiting Episodes 8-9. I've loved this series since the beginning. I only hope they don't screw the pooch with an "IT Chapter 2" version of Season 5.
Alright, we'll call it a draw.
Step back, my friends!! My "Hellfire Club" Tee shirt arrived today!!! I'm all set for episodes 8 & 9!! lol lol
I'll probably take some shit for this but my favorite character is "Dusty" and his camp "Knowhere" hat!! lol He's a pissa IMHO and a valuable member of the team!!! lol
My hat is off to the Duffer Bros. I love how much they have integrated, SK themes and such in the show.

Dusty is the man!! My favorite character of the show.
Working my way slowly through season 4 (just finished episode 5), I can say with conviction that this is by far the best season. The joy of the first season's youngsters has turned to straight out earnestness. The Duffer brothers are working towards and endgame now with a real narrative command that was not fully realized in seasons two and three. Loving it.
Running Up That Hill is indeed a great song; I like the live version with David Gilmour.
So...did Stranger Things reference
Spoiler:
If so, pretty cool.

Epic! Dammit, how long do we have to wait for Season 5?!?
Alright, we'll call it a draw.
Too long. Too, too long.
