WANTED
Signed 1st Edition of Storm of The Century (Paperback)
I think there is only one valuable set out there.
Two questions...
1) does the DJ's from the BHT set have prices on them, or are they plain like a BMOC edition?
B) would anyone care, just for "insurance purposes only" to place a value on the signed set that Sentinal received? I say it that way because they are beyond value in coolness alone!
"Thanks, but no, it isn't a cowboy hat. It's a fedora. And yes, Indianna Jones is still socially relevant."
Individually, the books would be worth ~$1,300 if they were just signed.
But now they are dated, inscribed with quotes from the books, and made out to a generic person.....plus the fact that there is a "matching set" would add value (just like a matching set of The Plant is been proven to sell more than a non matching set).
This is one of those items that you can't nail down a price....I could see it selling for $2,000 one day, and $5,000 on a different day.....and twice that a month later.

The Catalog is your friend. Bill Hodges Trilogy
...Three new dustjackets were created for the trilogy. There is no price on the DJ's, no blurbs on the back, and no UPC bars. Scribner trade hardbacks were used, but not ever trilogy has all 1st printings.
Has anyone received their copies from CD along with the signed art print? Or at least a shipping notice?
I'm looking for a set of all first printings, if anyone has a spare.
Thanks,
Ron
Ron, I'm waiting on the set from CD and if those are all 1sts then I will have an extra set which you can have if you'd like. We'd just have to wait until it arrives. If something comes up though before then I wouldn't want you to miss out as I don't know if they will all be 1st printings. Either way, the offer stands for you.
I still haven't even read Mr. Mercedes yet and don't know who Bill Hodges is, so not much interest for me in this set. It's things like this that save me a lot of money :-)
WANT LIST: Any SK #186; Dark Man Unbound 1st Proof; FDNS Unbound 1st Proof; FDNS Black Tape Spine Proof; FDNS Unbound Color Proof
Did anyone ever determine if there is a variant of the boxed set with black spines instead of white?
I just googled images of this trilogy and found a couple of sites where pics of black-spined boxed sets were shown, but the images seem to possibly date from prior to when the set was actually released. I saw further up in this thread where someone had speculated that the black-spined images might represent a possible forthcoming paperback boxed set. Has this been determined/resolved?
Here are the sites with the images in question:

Thanks!

I ordered one from Target because they were showing the black spine image. When the order arrived it was the regular white spines. So AFAIK there is no black variant.
Yep, I had the same experience as Zelig. I'm guessing down the road they will release a set of quality paperbacks with black spines and that is where the pic came from.
To date, there has been no evidence of the black spine hardback set.
Thanks, everyone, for the replies! :-)

It's the front end of a Mercedes with blood dripping off of the emblem.
