I saw a F/F copy of SK: Uncollected, Unpublished the other day. It was priced at $94 and looks like it's missing the slipcase.
It seems a little high, especially if the case is missing, but wanted your opinions.
I know that this has been sitting on the top shelf of the store for at least 6 months, so if that is priced high, what would be a better counter-offer?
Thanks!
"Thanks, but no, it isn't a cowboy hat. It's a fedora. And yes, Indianna Jones is still socially relevant."
There are several copies on ABE as new with slipcase priced below the $94 they are asking.
Here is one example. There are others.

I should have asked if you are talking about the original edition by Cemetery Dance or the "updated" one by The Overlook Connection?
F/F 1/1 Night Shift ? Could call it mint if you so wish.
Any opinions on this?
It is the CD edition. The only real reason to get this one over another is the store credit I have there. Is it a fair statement to say that for the most part, except for some very special editions, a slipcase adds $15-$20 to the total value of a book? At some point I may try offering $75-80 and see what she says.

Print out the on line price & take it with you when you go to the store... I find this helps when asking for a lower price.
I'll check mine, but I'm fairly sure the slipcase is plain. Jeff could make one to fit, although matching the original color may be tricky. Alternatively ask Brian @ CD they move have some extras.
Bob, do you have a link to the Overlook version?
"A real limited edition, far from being an expensive autograph stapled to a novel, is a treasure. And like all treasures do, it transforms the responsible owner into a caretaker, and being a caretaker of something as fragile and easily destroyed as ideas and images is not a bad thing but a good one...and so is the re-evaluation of what books are and what they do that necessarily follows." - Stephen King
"One day you're going to figure out that everything they taught you was a lie."
Truly F/F "mint" Night Shift-$1K

What does a Christine 30th Anniversary go for nowadays? And how much does a remarque increase value?
