Default What is your personal ranking of the series?

I've seen a lot of posts recently about this book and that being each one's favorite, so I figured I'd make this thread to centralize that topic.

I can't wait to see all of the wildly different ways this list gets shuffled!

    1. The Gunslinger
    2. The Drawing of the Three
    3. The Wastelands
    4. The Dark Tower
    5. Wolves of the Calla
    6. Wizard & Glass
    7. Song of Susannah
    Let's get a little crazy.

Fernando, with the exception of our number 1 & 2 slots, we ranked the same.

Yes, read Wind Through the Keyhole. It's very good.

Also, I'm really hoping to enjoy Song of Susannah more on my reread of the series. To be brutally honest, I'm trying to enjoy Susannah more on my reread.

I agree. I need to reread Little Sisters of Eluria. I don't recall being blown away by it my first time reading it.

Wizard and Glass is far and away my favorite. And The Wastelands is a cut above all the rest. From time to time I'll pick up III and IV and just read those for a DT fix.

Wizard and Glass is, imo, one of the best books King has ever written.
It's above all a heart-breaking love story unlike any other.

Yeah.. idk if Song of Susannah is a bad book per se, it just wasn't very memorable.

That's The Gunslinger for me. I think that book is perfection. I've only read the series twice, but I've read The Gunslinger at LEAST a dozen times.

I liked it well enough but it didn't feel like a Dark Tower novel.. I mean sure it was good to spend a few pages with the Tet, but it was essentially a campfire story. A very good one at that.
