Stephen King in 2016

Like last year's thread, this is just to speculate as to what we can expect from King next year. It seems to me the only book tentatively scheduled for 2016 is End of Watch, the third Mr. Mercedes novel. I don't believe other than that King has dropped any hints as to whether he'll continue his two-books-a-year pace (two books each in 2013, 2014, and 2015, and only one of them not a novel). Unless I'm blanking on it, I do not recall if King or Ms. Mod stated recently if King is definitely working on something specific like a novel, though we all know he is.

I really hope and BELIEVE we will see The Battle of Jerhico and I also believe he has started it to some degree. Next year??? no.... but by 2017... yes. I hope for a signing next year too!

Wasn't there talk of finishing up the collaboration with Peter Straub? If so maybe that's on the agenda.

If it ever comes, I hope it will be in 2018. There was a 17-year gap between The Talisman (1984) and Black House (2001). Seventeen years after 2001 would be 2018. It just fits. And Straub said last year at a signing that it should be soon now...

There's been no work done with Peter thus far on a third book. Peter's recurrent health problems is an issue.

He is working on other things, but none of them are scheduled for publication at this point.

He is lucky enough to be able to write anything and his publishers will want to release it...

Well, feels like that number should somehow be updated after being bandied about by everyone since at least 2006. It's way outdated by now and not as impressive anymore, especially with King doing his two-books-a-year thing lately. Get some Scribner intern in front of Excel, stat!
