Unfortunately they seem pretty hard to find at the moment - and when you do find them, they are expensive. A signed proof went for 340 the other day.

I have both states of the proof, however I am not selling at this point.

Oh my! So after seeing a picture of RP1 somewhere on TDT and this thread in particular, I picked up a copy and read it in 3 days. Just finished it a few minutes ago actually.

Absolutely loved it! If anyone has a 1/1 for sale, let me know. I don't know how I missed this book.

For me, it was a wonderful trip down memory lane, a powerful statement about perseverance, a touching love story, and a great lesson about getting out more and experiencing life outside of technology. Oh, and of course, a fitting tribute to 80's pop culture.

It's even fun listening to wil Wheaton read it - going through the audio book now - a few chapters each night with my wife - a nice way to end the day. Does everyone have an armada arc yet? Cause I keep getting outbid late - and am trying to get a copy before the signing

I am actually looking for someone who is willing to trade an ARC of Ready Player One (fine Condition) for a signed copy of Finder's Keepers (from the Maine Event).

    PM me if interested.

***I will also throw in a signed hardcover copy of Ready Player One (not a first printing)***

check out ernie's website - you can download his spoken word album - with many of his poetry slams from the Importance of being Ernest:

the rest of the site is fun to go through as well - especially his bio

Thanks for the link Brian. I had ordered one from B&N but may go this route instead as I like inscribed books.

So, those who have an Armada ARC, had anyone read it yet? If so, is it good?

Finally managed to find a 1/1 Ready Player One today. Now just need to get it signed.

also read this book recently, as a teenager in the early 80's this was a real blast! Highly recommended read.
"A real limited edition, far from being an expensive autograph stapled to a novel, is a treasure. And like all treasures do, it transforms the responsible owner into a caretaker, and being a caretaker of something as fragile and easily destroyed as ideas and images is not a bad thing but a good one...and so is the re-evaluation of what books are and what they do that necessarily follows." - Stephen King
