Yes! I kept going back to that, thinking it'd be explained, but it wasn't (unless we both missed it). A friend maybe? They looked VERY similar so I thought maybe they were twin sisters also. I'd make sense for twins to run in the family. And also why they were so convinced their mother was an impostor.
