I really enjoyed it. It's a good thriller mixed in with an interesting horror vibe. I think you would enjoy it.
I posted a review in the Rate thread if you're interested.

I really enjoyed it. It was a pretty different film. Reminded me of the Twilight Zone.
Glad you enjoyed it. I wish there would be more films like it released.

This weekend, I'm catching The Imitation Game, American Sniper, and Boyhood.
Will just need Whiplash and Birdman under my belt.
I enjoyed American Sniper. It's not better than Hurt Locker, but it's pretty intense. I viewed it as a movie, blocking out all the extra stuff that has come out recently. The supporting cast outside of Sienna Miller is faceless and nameless and they really do build up Kyle as the savior of the war. He's portrayed as the most heroic and most competent of the soldiers we see.
The film is one-sided, but that doesn't bother me. We are seeing the war from Kyle's eyes, through his scope if you will. This is how many of the soldiers viewed the people they were fighting against, and in some cases, the people they were there to liberate. Eastwood has shown the other side of the enemy in Letters From Iwo Jima, so I take offense to the people who are knocking him for being an overly patriotic old fart.
I just need to see Selma and I've seen all of the films nominated for Best Picture.

It's funny. I went into The Hurt Locker thinking I wouldn't like it, and went into Zero Dark Thirty thinking I'd love it. It was the opposite for both films.
Wow. You're ahead of the game. I haven't seen any yet (though I've seen some of the "second tier" nominees like Wild, Gone Girl, Foxcatcher, etc.).

Nice! I was thinking about you the other day wondering if you were there. Did you like Z for Zachariah? I think that one looks interesting. I also happen to really like Margot Robbie.
Ricky, you have some good movie watching ahead of you. You won't love everything, but I think you will come away entertained.
