    Maximum 12 minutes per "scene" should suffice.

    Limiting entries to one scene per film, does seem strange. That would be like only nominating one song from each artist in the music tournament.

    Take the movie Goodfellas for example. At a minimum, I would expect both of these scenes to be nominated....

    For variety. We always did one movie per franchise, didn't we? Not the same as one song per artist, it's more like one song per album. The idea is to not have 40 movies account for half the nominations.

    It was never one movie per franchise. The Best Horror tournament featured both Evil Dead and Evil Dead 2.

    The Best Sci-Fi tournament featured both the first two Terminator films, together with Alien, Aliens and all three original Star Wars films.

    All truly great scenes, are by definition, iconic.

    Regarding The Goonies when Chunk shouts "Hey you guys!" It's just the quote that became iconic, not the scene.

    GIII is an interesting movie - initially had me wondering what it was doing in that franchise, then worked its way around to it, and by the end, yeah - good movie with a tale worth telling, and ended right.
