Good news! I wonder if we'll have a non-Hodges book after this, before the 3rd in the trilogy. That'd be the story collection, wouldn't it?

Right, fall of '15
Scribner has released their description for Finders Keepers (pub date June 2, 2015)
“Wake up, genius.” So begins King’s instantly riveting story about a vengeful reader. The genius is John Rothstein, a Salinger-like icon who created a famous character, Jimmy Gold, but who hasn’t published a book for decades. Morris Bellamy is livid, not just because Rothstein has stopped providing books, but because the nonconformist Jimmy Gold has sold out for a career in advertising. Morris kills Rothstein and empties his safe of cash, yes, but the real treasure is a trove of notebooks containing at least one more Gold novel.
Morris hides the money and the notebooks, and then he is locked away for another crime. Decades later, a boy named Pete Sauberg finds the treasure, and now it is Pete and his family that Bill Hodges, Holly Gibney, and Jerome Robinson must rescue from the ever-more deranged and vengeful Morris when he’s released from prison after thirty-five years.
Not since Misery has King played with the notion of a reader whose obsession with a writer gets dangerous. Finders Keepers is spectacular, heart-pounding suspense, but it is also King writing about how literature shapes a life—for good, for bad, forever.

Sounds... weird.
But still kinda interesting. I am curious to see what King does with it.
They must have a proof already, if they have done a review.
Not necessarily -- this is in-house copy for the catalog, not a review.

The proof is out there for a couple of weeks.
Wow, I figured it'd involve Brady somehow. Maybe he's gonna lurk at the edges, and return for book three.
Reminds me of the plot for the second Rowling detective novel..
This does sound strange... Very...

I wouldn't expect the proof of Finders Keepers to be distributed until the end of February or the beginning of March.

Well, maybe by "proof" we understand something different. If you mean book for journalists than of course it's far too early. I meant that the book was sent to foreign publishers.
I like the name Rothstein. King is likely paying homage to Philip Roth, I think he mentioned him in a recent interview.

Very nice! Lately, I've only been buying the UK edition if I like the cover and this one looks great!
Loving the continuation of the Umbrella theme...
Wonder how it will look in WH Smith purple...
"A real limited edition, far from being an expensive autograph stapled to a novel, is a treasure. And like all treasures do, it transforms the responsible owner into a caretaker, and being a caretaker of something as fragile and easily destroyed as ideas and images is not a bad thing but a good one...and so is the re-evaluation of what books are and what they do that necessarily follows." - Stephen King
Where's the US image?
Why do the UK covers always have that stupid "From the No. 1 Bestselling Author" and the like? People in Britain know who Stephen King is, I think.
