Proof #15 - I believe these are scarce with very few made and in collectors hands.
Stephen King - Joyland - US Advance Review Copy
Another new Joyland that I received a couple of weeks ago.
Stephen King - Joyland (Illustrated Edition) - US/UK 1st/1st HB
My Joyland proof and hardback collection (as yet I do not have the paperback versions). ARC Proof, Limited 1st HB, 1st HB Illustrated Edition, S/L and Lettered.
Damn, Jon, that is an amazing Joyland set! I really love this book, and congrats on the rare proof (and of course the lettered edition!).
"God punishes us for what we cannot imagine." - Stephen King, Duma Key
That IS a really scarce proof! Congratulations for sure!
John
Wonderful Jon! That's a rare one. Does the Joyland Illustrated show printed in USA or UK?
Thanks John. I, also, really enjoyed reading Joyland. A great little story!
Thanks John. Good to know it is scarce.
Thanks Paul. The Joyland illustrated has ISBN 9781783295326 with all three prices $23.99 US $30.99 CAN Ģ16.99 UK. Published by Titan Books London, Printed in the States. They seem to be an universal edition.
That's happened to me before with Michael. Still worth it to have that item though.
28 in 23 (?)!!!!

The Houston Astros cheated Major League Baseball from 2017-18!!!! Is that how we teach our kids to play the game now?????
Very nice. I really like these editions.
That's a coincidence, I just picked up that GRRM book with the red edge for another US member here!
"A real limited edition, far from being an expensive autograph stapled to a novel, is a treasure. And like all treasures do, it transforms the responsible owner into a caretaker, and being a caretaker of something as fragile and easily destroyed as ideas and images is not a bad thing but a good one...and so is the re-evaluation of what books are and what they do that necessarily follows." - Stephen King
I got a few goodies today from Waterstones in Cheltenham. Sadly, none for me! BUT, at least one of these books will stay in the household. The two signed Bill Bryson's were signed and dedicated last week at the Cheltenham Literary Festival in the UK. The GRRM is the normal 1st trade edition without the red edges.
I may have slightly gone overboard on the promotional Bryson Postcards - all 36 of them!
Bill Bryson - The Road To Little Dribbling - UK Promotional Postcard
I bought this one yesterday.
Terry Pratchett - Shaking Hands With Death - UK 1st/1st PB
Wonderful Jon! Love them. Especially that one on the left! Postcard is very cool too. And of course the Pratchett. I wasn't aware of this title.
Jon - great additions ! Joyland complete set is awesome !!
I really like the Waterstones Edition! What is the possibility of you wanting to ship one of those across the Pond?
Tonight I attended 'An Evening With Joe Hill'. He read from his new book 'The Fireman' which is out in 6 months!! From the chapter he read this evening it sounds like it's going to be a very interesting book. He then did a Q&A session and then signed a few books. I brought along a Trade UK first of 20th Century Ghosts for signing and got my copy of the exclusive preview sampler of The Fireman signed. Unfortunately, they only gave out one of these to each attendee, so I was not able to get any spare copies for members.
Joe Hill - 20th Century Ghosts - UK 1st/1st HB - Signed, Inscribed and Doodled by Joe Hill
Joe Hill - The Fireman - UK Exclusive Preview Sampler - Signed by Joe Hill
The event ticket
I took a few bad photos of the event and one taken of me with Joe. As you can tell I hate having my photo taken.
Very nice Jon! Congratulations! That preview sampler of the new book looks great, and I'm guessing it will be hard to come by since they were only allowing one per person.
And Joe looks like a young Stephen King! I think maybe I'll have to start reading and collecting his work once his new book is released.
Looking good Jon! Wish I'd known about this as it's only down the road from me!
