IIRC this sparked some debate, which I can imagine because by himself that collector basically made sure that 4% of all possible matching sets will never be complete (unless he himself owns them). I'm not 100% sure about that number (it would almost be too perfect, right?) but it was close to 20 anyway.
Would love to see that pic. And your right... There may be some guys here looking for a number that may never be found. I always wonder how many were read and beat up, lost, trashed because King was not the man he is today and the Gunslinger was not a huge books then... Be neat to know....

It was definitely not David. I think David owns/owned four signed/numbered and one signed/lettered Gunslinger. Definitely not 19 or 20.

I am pretty sure I know who this person is. Years ago he won S/L Gunslinger #465 on ebay and I had a couple of DT S/Ls with the same number. I offered them to him, and he said he had no interest....he was only interested in copies of The Gunslinger, and I recall him telling me he had a lot of them.
