Blair Witch
So far the votes seem to be all over the place with these again.

Gave it to Hellraiser, Pan's Labyrinth was nagging at me tho.
I'll see how it goes
Pan's Labirynth is one of the best films in the history of cinema. It only has a nodding acquaintance wil horror movies, so I'll probably watch Blair Witch

THINK AGAIN...JEAN
I thought it was incredibly boring and, for a horror film, incredibly hammy.

Now we have a tie in the tiebreaker...
Hopefully some more people will come vote for Blair Witch

bears will, as soon as they see that del Toro is hopelessly left behind

Jean, do you consider Pan's Labyrinth a horror movie, or is it just that you think it's a better film overall (of which I would agree with). I just don't see any horror elements in it.

it is by no means a horror movie. But it being one of the best films of all times, I can't force myself to vote against it.

I would consider it a dark fantasy film. It does have a few scary-ish scenes though. It was nominated and approved, so here we are. And we had a lengthy discussion then about what is and isn't a horror movie. Again, it's very subjective a lot of the times.

Pretty surprising seeing Hellraiser running away with it.
I'm not sure if I've ever seen Hellraiser I think I keep confusing it with Candyman in my mind for some reason. It's on netflix streaming so maybe I'll watch it tonight and see if I remember it.

You'd remember Pinhead.
I won't vote for Hellraiser, but I have a soft spot for it. It was the first horror movie (that was not black-and-white and made thirty years before I was born) I've seen on the big screen. The only one - not black-and-white and not made thirty years before I was born - I had seen before this was Nightmare on Elm Street, but this was in a video parlor, if anyone remenbers what that was (assuming there were such things some place besides Russia). I have been sentimental about both of them since, and have never tried to re-watch either.
By the way, I love Candyman (first, of course). Did we nominate it?

What's a video parlor?

oh... when Communism started disintegrating... the country was incredibly poor, and though people already had video players abroad (and had had for quite a long time), nobody could afford them here; I am talking about late 80s. Some people pooled their money, bought VCRs, and played videos in clubs, almost like in cinema, only on a very small screen... with atrocious quality of both sound and picture... and still it was fascinating! Nightmare on Elm Street scared me a lot, and I also watched Total Recall this way and loved it; I don't think I would even sneeze in its direction now, let alone watch... Bears were young, and everything was new...
