I agree. I can assure you that this would be quite a big box, so $20 for international shipping doesnt seem unrealistic to me.
By the way, on january 1st, french stamps price will go up by 7%. Quite a lot. I hope that it really means just "stamps" and not other shipping. The reason the french post office gave was that it's because people are sending less and less letters.
Maybe, but I am sure that the other packaging / shipping cost for packaging / boxes etc, makes them earn more money despite this decrease of letters....

This type of reasoning has never made sense to me. Something is being used less, so they charge more, which means that fewer people will use it. So they raise the prices again!?! Some governmental agencies here in the USA do the same thing. Just plain crazy!

I received the disc portion of this from my BIL for Xmas a couple years ago and I think I paid over $100 to get the working phonograph portion to complete the item.
