That kinda thing happened in my house when Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows came out. I read for about 2 hours solid and at one point Ruby said, "Mum! Max is breaking the..." I just interrupted with "We'll buy a new one."

How were Creature and The Unloved? They've been sitting on my bookshelf for some time, but I haven't gotten around to reading them yet.
