I noticed tonight that Goldsboro still has copies of the Wool and Shift S/Ls for sale. Wool is 150 pounds and Shift is 60.

I have a friend in England who said he goes there all the time and they always have signed books that say they are sold out online. This is probably store inventory.
Wanted: Human skin edition of The Book of the Dead. Will accept PC copy.
That makes sense.
My Dust S/L arrived from Goldsboro today. I'll post pics in my collection thread later tonight.

Still trying to track down a 1st hardcover printing of the UK Dust - every bookstore I contacted is on later printings... :-(
That's really strange that no one seems to have a first in stock.
I hope VJ's copies of Dust are 1st printings. I preordered a signed copy from them months ago.

It looks like VJ books has first printings of the Uk dust.

A note about VJ Books. If you are an international customer, it doesn't look like they ship in a box. Not sure why. Domestic shipping is bubble wrapped and in a box.
Didn't realize you were looking for an unsigned copy. Glad you found one.
My signed 1st/1st UK hardcovers of Shift and Dust arrived today.
The front and back top corners are both bumped on Shift. Since the descriptions says "First UK edition, first printing, mint, new/unread in pictorial boards, signed by the author" I kind of expect a book with no corner bumps.
Am I overreacting, or should I exchange it for a new copy?

From sub press on twitter:
I'm hoping they release these as a 3 book set instead of individually.William Schafer @subpress
Happy to announce that next year we'll be publishing signed, limited editions of the Silo series by @hughhowey.
Cool!
Also zth ebig news from yesterday. Howey is coeditor and writer of a three books anthology called The apocalypse Triptych. Interesting idea, three states, before, during and after apocalypse and so we will get interesting stories. And all books give a nice scenery at the end....! For example Hugh Howey comes back to Wool and gives us new stories... Yeahhhhh!
My replacement copy of Shift arrived today.
Now all I have left on my list to get are the Wool and Shift "ugly" editions.

The wools are hard to find. I think hugh said he had 500-600 of those printed.
Sub press might be the only one doing a hardcover in the US. Hugh's contract with S & S was only for Wool and it doesn't look like anyone is real interested in a print only contract again.
Signed copies of Sand are now available on Hugh's website.

Got one
Wanted: Human skin edition of The Book of the Dead. Will accept PC copy.
Me too! I'm going to get the individual ones as well.
Ordered Sand. And I hope my copy of Dust gets here soon.
