I got my copies today--they look great, super high quality. Well worth the wait
I just got mine as well. I'm impressed and like this edition a lot. It hasn't been that long ago that I read The Shining but I think I would like to read it again using this new edition. I haven't looked at all of the small illustrations yet but I have looked at all of the full page illustrations and think that Vincent Chong did a heck of a job. I like the font, chapter headers, paper quality, etc. I still think that Centipede Press would have done an equal or better job but this is pretty darn nice. I still can't believe they didn't choose to include "Before The Play." That would have made it a better edition, IMO.
They asked Stephen King to include Before the Play but he said no.
