Maybe? I'm not sure. I always thought of Oy as being male too. I just don't recall if it says anywhere.

I seem to remember something about bumblers being genderless, but I might be mistaken.
Well i say hes a male, because in the animal kingdom (may be different in DT but ..lets say its not) all females would be potentail partners for the males, you could have many females to some males but not the other way around soo i dont see why they would outcast Oy if he was a she, but being a male Oy would have to compete against other and proberly stronger males....

Always assumed he was male too - but I think you're right in saying it's never actually specified in the Books.

Well the bottom part I wasn't, but yes that was a direct quote and I was serious about that part. I'm sure Jake spent enough time with Oy to know his gender.

Since we find out throughout the series that bumblers are great mimicers I doubt that.
