This is a very sad day.
Sad news of his passing. Some great books and stories.
I love the vibe/feeling from a lot of Bradbury stories, not all were positive stories but many were very human and honest.
I lived in Northern PA for many years and sometimes the sun wouldn't shine for days at a time and it always reminded me of his story about the rain planet. I think of his stories a lot. Thanks Mr. Bradbury.
yes! and to think it's on my birthday...........
Dear friends, we have - understandably - a number of thread dedicated to this sad event. I agree that Ray deserves as man as can be, so I'll let them be for today... will do the merge tomorrow
RIP, and be happy in the Clearing, where dandelions never wither!

Stephen King's obituary of Mr. Bradbury:
http://www.stephenking.com/news.html
"Ray Bradbury wrote three great novels and three hundred great stories. One of the latter was called 'A Sound of Thunder.' The sound I hear today is the thunder of a giant's footsteps fading away. But the novels and stories remain, in all their resonance and strange beauty."
