I read Part I last night - very creepy - oddly has a similar premise to a story I finished writing a few weeks ago! :-)

Spoiler:
Is this a scary story?! I picked up my copy this past weekend. I'll start it tonight when I get home.
Only the gentle are ever really strong.
Yes, it is a scary story -- but it's only part 1 of 2, so we're left hanging for a while to see how it turns out.
I haven't gotten my copy yet, but I'll wait until I get the whole thing before I read it.

The August issue will have part 2, so it will be end of June. I'm with John, waiting for both issues before I read it.
The first part seemed rather short. Hopefully the second part is lengthier, otherwise it doesn't really qualify as a novella, does it?
If it's shorter than, say, Morality, this new one is just a short story.

since it is a June/July issue, wouldn't the August issue be out at the end of July rather than the end of June?

Yep, I meant to say July...sorry about that
I just finished reading it. I think it's because I read so many monthly comic books, I crave the excitment of cliffhangers so I couldn't wait. It's a great story and Joe's touch is very present in it.
I just picked up my copy of the June/July issue. I'm putting it away very carefully.

The July issue will probably hit the newsstands around July 15th.

Good first part, much more interesting than Throttle.
I picked it up to buy, looked inside to the story and thought hmm........... 2 bucks a page, I'll wait.

I don't want to read it until I have the second part.

The son of Stephen and Tabitha King has a really balanced head on his shoulders-which is why it hasn't fallen off! He's a Bangor boy and we had some commonality in having grown up there and had parents with similar philosophies to raising children. I hope you like this story and try one of his books such as "Heart Shaped Box" or "Horns." I read "Horns" and thought it was a fun read.

Thanks for posting this. Great to see he handles the questions about his old man so well.
I liked HSB and the short stories very much.
The second part should be on newsstands in mid-July.

Oh I'm hearin the new @Esquiremag is out... Which is where you'll find the end to the story I wrote with my dad, "In The Tall Grass."
Don't let the grass grow under your feet. New @Esquiremag is out, has the finale of the story I wrote with my dad.
For them coming in late, the new story is "In The Tall Grass." Part I appeared in the last issue of @Esquiremag. Part II is just out now.
