A friend got this one stuck in my head last night, but I'm loving have it in there. Now I need to figure out how to play it. I know which guitar to use. Tommy's is nearly identical to my Gibson, but his has a cutaway at the top and bottom, while mine just has the one at the bottom. Essentially the same sound though.

The King Beetle on a Coconut Estate

the day-help on The Coconut Estate
raked up the dried leaves that fell dead from the trees,
which they burned in a pile by the lake.

The beetle king summoned his men
and from the top of the rhododendron stem,
"Calling all volunteers who can carry back here,
the great mystery that's been lit once again."

One beetle emerged from the crowd
in a fashionable abdomen, shroud.
Said, "I'm a professor, you see, that's no mystery to me.
I'll be back soon, successful and proud."

But when the beetle professor returned,
he crawled on all six as his wings had been burned
and described to the finest detail all he'd learned.
There was neither a light nor a heat in his words.

The deeply dissatisfied king
climbed the same stem to announce the same thing.
But in his second appeal sought to sweeten the deal
with a silver padparadscha ring.

The lieutenant stepped out from the line
as he lassoed his thorax with twine,
thinking, "I'm stronger and braver and I'll earn the king's favor.
One day all he has will be mine."

But for all the lieutenant's conceit,
he too returned singed and admitting defeat.

It speaks to me... and I'm not really into religious songs, but it's more than just a song that contains religious context... to me, it's about love and faith and hope and lost hope, and regaining your trust in love/God.

It's about love and growing old together. It's about love and loss and life.

It actually was for a bit after reading your post but then I found out I may be playing music tonight with an old friend who's in town this week and that triggered a memory that put "Spanish Flea" in there and there it remains. Luckily I love that song so I don't mind having it stuck in there. Still, I will probably wind up listening to Syd at some point later.
