Yes, I have. They are good, but yeah, not worth the mark-up. And California prices are even higher because of our amazing tobacco taxes.

Sadly I have not. I've cut back on how much I smoke cigars, not really a conscious decision, but I've got a fair number sitting in my humidors...

How many humidors do you own? I own zero. I don't collect my cigars, I buy them and they generally last up to two days before I smoke them.

here they don't up the tax on cigars often, i think it's still like a tenth of the tax on cigarettes. politicians like cigars more. sometimes it's good when the guys making the rules don't want those rules to apply to themselves.
It was that way here for a long time too, Ruki. Then they figured out the loophole and how much more tax money they could raise by closing it. So they did.

I smoked my first cigar earlier this year and loved it. My dad is a huge cigar smoker, he has several humidors and a large collection. Since then, I've smoked a few more, but mainly cheap, smaller ones. I'd love to learn more about them, so keep talking you guys.
Smoking cigars is a really relaxing thing for me and I love the flavor.

Punch Rare Corojo (a fantastic, rich smoke)
Padron
Some other great smokes -
Drew Estates Java (A not too strong mix of chocolate and coffee flavors with solid construction)
Acids also by Drew Estates (These are hippie, freaky, counter-culture cigars that somehow have been very successful, they're all dipped in different kinds of herbs and spices and are the ultimate "love em or hate em" cigar. personally I can have one once in a blue moon and I'm all set)
Fuentes (Great line of cigars with a wide variety of flavors and very solidly made pretty much anything by them is great)

I especially want to try the Drew Estates Java ones you mentioned. I'm a big fan of anything coffee flavored.
Are you a member of any cigar "clubs"? My dad isn't, but his friend belongs to this cigar shop's club where they meet up to drink, watch sporting events and smoke.

You're most welcome.I used to belong to the Fuentes Family cigar club but let me membership lapse out of getting interested in other cigars and not being able to take part in all the benefits of it so didn't feel like I was getting my money's worth.
I'm thinking of joining one that will send me a variety of brands though, because I love trying new cigars, especially if they're maduro.
