    I'm with you. I really liked Black House, but will always like Talisman best.

    When I first read BLACK HOUSE, the focus on killing small children was hitting a little too close to home for me as a new parent. If I had read it a few years earlier, my overall reaction to the book might have been more positive because there was a lot of the story that I really liked.
