I voted "it was good." Interesting, quick-running plot. Character development a bit lacking.

Without giving anything away, what made you dislike it so much?
I have given this one a 5 befoe, but I think I am going to go with 4 this time. That will be my way of saying that The Long Walk was better. But I did like this story, though it felt more like a novella to me. I agree with the lack of character development.

I was never really struck on this book, I am unsure of it was the way it was written or the story itself?

Ah, so-so. It's not totally irredeemable. A certain raw charm. A nugget of quality. But not a good book. Juvenile, trivial.
