Nice photos. It looks like there are a number of cameras on that bridge.

Thanks guys! And it wasn't even in a studio or anything. Our wonderful photographer basically just let us wander around and do whatever we wanted. He gave us some very basic suggestions and things to work with and managed to take great pics while we weren't even aware he was taking them.
simply "nice"

reality continues to ruin my life
ChristineB came over last night. Had a good time looking at King stuff, talking about King books, reading King books (and other topics). It is always a pleasure having a real King fan down in the basement. A few photos:
Me and ChristineB
Mr. and Mrs. ChristineB
Mr. ChristineB, Mrs. Detweiller, ChristineB
Nice pics!
Wanted: Human skin edition of The Book of the Dead. Will accept PC copy.
You guys look great! Have many King-fan-friends visited your basement, Bob? If I'm ever in Texas I will contact you (if that is okay with you).
Nice pictures. Some day I'll have to make the pilgrimage to Stephen King Mecca (Bob's house).
Very few real King fans have been in the basement. Lots of friends have been over and like to look around but don't really understand what it is all about. So, Michaël, definitely if you are ever within striking distance you should come on over. The same invite goes for the rest of you Calvin's Corner regular posters.
Great pics, Carlos!

Your thread alone is amazing to look at Bob! I can only imagine what it would be like to see your collection up close.
I love how Bob's lettered Firestarter is visible in one of the pics and it just looks like an inconspicuous book sitting on a shelf, minding its own business...
It was so great to be in the Stephen King Museum that is Bob's basement. I felt like I was in heaven, I swear he has a sound system that went AAAAHHHHH!!!! when I turned the corner at the bottom of the stairs (well that might have just been my imagination, but there should be one).
Being in the same room with all that wonderful art was amazing, I think it took me 20 minutes to quit looking at the art and realise I was in a room with all of the most wonderful books that people have made of Stephen King's stories. I have now touched my holy grail, that beautiful The Stand (no I didn't take it out of the box). That started me going "Do you have x, do you have y..." and ended with me actually touching an asbestos Firestarter (no I didn't open it). Somewhere in there I got to touch the Desperation prototype (yes the 3 bullet one), see a Cujo guitar up close (my god that is a beautiful instrument), and so many others that you all know and love.
After I had drooled (metaphorically of course) over all the stuff in the museum (yes that is what I call it, but mecca may be a better description RF), we went up stairs and had great conversation with both Mr. and Mrs. Bob.
I had a great time and will be back every chance I get when I am in the vicinity.
Thank you so much Bob for letting me see all the wonderful stuff you have collected over the years!!!
To anyone that gets within 100 miles of Amarillo, you MUST go see the mecca that is Bob's basement!!! I cannot explain the difference in being in that room vs. just seeing pictures, the real thing is awesome, just, plain, awesome!!!!!!
Christine
For the next few days (until Sunday 10/20/2013) I will have very limited access to the internet.
I'd appreciate if people posted the interesting, promotional, quirky and proof auctions on ebay that are of interest to members.
TIA,
RF
I think we can all do that.
Yeah, I can schedule to do that as well.

I am at a place where the internet connection is so slow, it won't even load the speed test to see how decrepit the connection is. I"m guessing ~1mbs.
