The more I look at that signature, and compare it to the 4 signatures I got in Paris (below) and the signature official catalog, the more I am dubious about the signature.
I am not sure whether it's fake or fugly but legit, but I have several issues about it.
- The loop isnt really "clear", and do not compare to the other loops I can see : are there exemples of loops that are similar-ish?
- The S seems quite far from the following T (Stephen)
- The K of King is hardly distinctable
- If King was tired or rushing, why faffing about with a loop feature on the bottom line?
Does King sometimes do a loop? I think i've only seen straight lines, no?
- In the auction, the seller, who seems a specialist of signed books, says that it was signed with a fountain pen.... I dont think that it was the case, it would be a bit surprising and not efficient, would it? I tend to think that he signs with a pen, not a fountain pen
Would be interesting to get other signatures from that day, like closer to the hand of his signatures.... anyone else was there?
Below are the 4 signatures I got in person when he was in Paris
The pix are a bit blur, I should take new ones, but that gives an overview

Thanks !
Where were you, roughly, in the line?
Someone, supposedly among the last 5 to get a signature, shared to me their signature. And it has nothing to do with the one for sale.
Here is there's.
And someone among the last 5 persons to get a signature
So it's obviouslt the seller's word against others, but it does seem, to me, that the signature is wayyyy off

I think I was in the middle of the line that day, Jeremy. Approximately #340 or so they wrote it on my hand as far as I remember.
Thanks

Any thoughts on this signature? I can’t decide one way or the other. This is the same seller that Tippy got that awesome signed IT first, and I had no doubt about that one.

I vote no. Someone ruined a decent Carrie first edition.

Too large, too level, swoop from "N" looks like Frankenstein's forehead.
This book was bought from a member of my King group (not signed) a week ago. They just said so... what a piece of shit this guy is.
