I should be watching Stranger Things, but I'm halfway through season 2 of Mad Men. I can't help myself. It's just so good.

For the fourth time. I can't help myself.

One of the best shows of all time. Give it another shot. But if you're not hooked by the pilot, I can;t help you.
It really is not about what happens, not really.
Yeah, Mad Men isn't a show that's about an engaging plot. Every show is essentially the same thing every season anyways. It's about characters and their lives, the society they live in, and how they affect that society. I know I was hooked from very first episode...the ending to it is still one of my favourites.
Whenever I talk about Mad Men without someone who isn't a fan, I can't help but think of this lol

That video was great, Matt.

That's ridiculous. No offense. I'm not sure any show is good enough to rewatch that many times in such a short span.
I would love to rewatch a bunch of shows, but I just have too much other stuff to get to first.
I couldn't get through the first 4 episodes of Mad Men, let alone the whole series 4 times. I am purchasing them on DVD, so I will get to them when I retire maybe.

I've also rewatched Sopranos, Six Feet Under (I'm actually 1 season into my 5th rewatch), Battlestar Galactica, LOST, In Treatment, 24, Frasier, South Park, Seinfeld and Arrested Development through multiple times each. I don't have cable and I haven't for years so I don't think it's ridiculous at all since can't just turn on a TV and watch new shows. I'm mostly limited to borrowing DVDs of people or downloading. To me ridiculous is watching a dozen or more TV shows over the course of a year, like my dad who has like 20 series going at any given time. I don't see how rewatching Mad Men is any different than rewatching some movies when I could be watching new movies.

Madmen doesn't look very appealing to me. I suppose I'll eventually watch the pilot. It's possible I'll love it. It's more probable I won't. I won't know until I try.

I've been meaning to watch Six Feet Under for years now, but something always gets in the way/takes its place. I watch a ton of TV, so I usually end up waiting until summer to start a new series. I still haven't seen Fargo, and I'm behind one season on Bates Motel. And I want to do a re-watch of Season 3 of Black Sails before the final season this month. And I want to watch The OA...and Season 2 of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. So basically I need to sequester myself in the basement for 6 months.

I've watched Six Feet Under numerous times. Love that show. Also Sopranos. Currently rewatching some seasons of 24 because I can't find anyone to watch right now.
Six Feet Under was great. I don't think I've seen the whole thing though. I think I stopped getting HBO before it was over.

I watched two new shows in 2016: all four seasons of House of Cards and Breaking Bad. This year I plan on watching The Wire and The Newsroom. And I could use a new comedy, so I'll check out Veep too.

I stopped watching Veep a few episodes into this past season. I just didn't think it was funny. Season 2 was hilarious, though. Unfortunately, 3 and 4 never lived up to that high for me.
Have you seen The Good Place, Matt? You might like it. Not so much laugh-out-loud funny (though it does have its moments), but clever.

Anyone seen Incorporated on SyFY? I really like it.
