    "Lovecraft Country" was a total bust for me. "Ozark" and "The Mandalorin" are very worthy candidates IMHO. "Perry Mason" was an excellent show and is probably a "sleeper", but I'd love to see it garner some awards.

    I know I'm extremely late to watching this, but I'm just about finished with season 1 of Dark. Can't believe it took me this long to start watching. I just got to the point where
    Spoiler:
    Neilsen kills young Doppler. Never saw that coming, and now I'm dying to know what will happen because of it. I feel like I need a map of who's who while watching this but I'm worried to go online and look it up as I already tried to do that and got a spoiler for who someone was (although I did already have my suspicions).

    @Heather, beware that you Google answers for Dark at your own risk. Even if you just want to know something about a particular character in S1, Google's search engine might return a spoiler in the search bar without you even typing it (their algorithm returns most searched for answers etc.) I learned this the hard way.

    In most cases the answers to your questions will be answered, just be patient. You can always search for answers for clarity after you finish the show.

    I know, I went to search a character, I even included season 1 in my search but then all these images pop'd up revealing something that was not yet known. It wasn't a huge surprise since I had my suspicions, but I need to stay away from any searches until I'm done. I would love a handy reference though of peoples photos and a timeline I couldn't stop watching so I finished season 1 last night. I'll probably binge watch the next 2 seasons next since I'm all caught up on my other current shows.

    Dude I got so into the show, I actually made a PowerPoint presentation for me and my friends to keep track of all the characters and their relationships. It was a labor of love

    I had to stop after S1 though because it got too complex and it was difficult to find pictures on Google without something being spoiled.

    Expanse is such an amazing show I have been reading the novels. What cracks me up? One of the book authors is an assistant to George RRRRRRRR Martin, so he clearly has a ton of free time to work on Expanse. #GOTwillneverbefinished

    Holden, Amos, Drummer, Alex, Bobbie, Fred are my favorite characters. The show for the most part follows the books and the books will drag with character development. For sci-fi, it's not Star Trek but it's right there. Season 6 might be the end as book 7 jumps 30 years into the future; so I'm told. I haven't read that far yet.

    Finished season 2 of Dark. Wow, were there a bunch of bombshells dropped in that finale. I have so many questions, but I'm afraid to ask for fear of spoilers. Onto season 3.

    I read the first three books before watching the show and loved both of them. Similar to Game of Thrones, there is a lot going on behind the scenes with the political stuff of the world which I feel is better fleshed out in the books. The show is a faithful adaptation I think, but there is just not enough time to give you all of the background and still cater to the space opera main theme and storyline. I saw the three SyFy seasons but haven't watched the amazon stuff or finished the book series. I plan to do both.

    You have to take into consideration that this show was adapted for the SyFy channel. I think we are spoiled now by big budget, cutting edge, critically successful, Grade A TV dramas from sources like HBO, FX, AMC, Netflix, Disney+ ect. that we might expect too much from a show (at least I know I am and do). A show on SyFY or the CW just isnt going to be as good as those other channels because they have less budget and well, they are NOT one of those other channels lol. It still is worth the watch to see the adaptation of a cool story or genre that you like.

    I finished Season 3 about a week ago. Not a spoiler, but I will say

    it *almost* collapses under the weight of all the new elements introduced. Almost. But it pulls it all together at the end.


    Hard to talk about this show without ruining the fun. I really don't even want to say what it's about. It's really best to see it completely cold.
