    Stephen King - alright!
    Jordan Peele - alright!
    Megan Fox - whaaat?

But at least she won't give me flashbacks to something awful, as Hader will.

If you like noir, then you should give it a try. I am fearful you won't like it because of your comments about movies from the 70s and back - not an attack! It's a slow burn period piece. I really loved it.

I'm on episode 2. I like the acting and it isn't as slow as my father stated. I really liked the Alienist. The actors do a great job and I was impressed with Dakota Fanning.

I have written on Succession a couple of times while I was binging it. The show is brilliant. Bryan Cox is, well, Bryan Cox - always superb. Kieran Culkin is the surprise of the group - the stuff that comes out of his mouth is so funny. The dynamic duo of Nicholas Braun and Matthew Macfadyen (who was so good on MI5) are like Laurel and Hardy. And one of my favorite tv moments of all time comes when Jeremy Strong
    Spoiler:
raps at as his father's party in season two - don't google it, as it won't play well unless you watch the show itself.
    Can't wait for season three.
Don't forget about the interview of the TV host about his alleged ties or liking to the Nazis. I laughed out loud on that one.
Also, who doesn't love that goodbye saying, "fuck off." I get a kick out of that all the time.

Yup, and I loved The Alienist. In fact, I just started season two of The Alienist: Angel of Darkness. I'm hooked again.

I finally caught up with and finished I'll Be Gone in the Dark. Outstanding documentary - not your typical true crime fare.

Just finished binging The Alienist: Angel of Darkness. Loved it. I remember not liking the book as much as its predecessor, but the reverse is true here. I thought the tv version of Angel of Darkness was every bit as good The Alienist. Nicely done. I hope that Caleb Carr gets around to finishing the long rumored third book in the series.

Yeah, he has not published a novel since 2016. He had some serious tax issues - paid some big fines. The rumor is two more Alienist books that bookend the first two. One is a prequel, The Strange Case of Miss Sara X and the other brings the gang back together, The Alienist at Armageddon to be published in the reverse order here.
